Celestine Donkor to host 20th anniversary show on March 6
February 20, 2026Gospel artist Celestine Donkor is set to celebrate two decades in music at the 13th edition of Celestial Praiz, scheduled for Friday, March 6, at Victory Bible Church, Awoshie, Accra. The free-admission event, themed “The Worship Encounter,” begins at 4:00 PM and promises a powerful gathering of gospel music enthusiasts.
Though the full lineup is yet to be announced, Donkor has teased the event on social media with fliers and videos, building anticipation among her followers. This year’s edition marks a milestone—20 years of her impactful ministry—despite cancellations in 2013 (due to Ebola), 2020, and 2021 (COVID-19 restrictions).
Donkor, the 2020 VGMA Female Vocalist of the Year, expressed gratitude for God’s faithfulness throughout her career. “It’s been 20 years of His goodness and guidance,” she said. “This anniversary isn’t just about me; it’s a celebration of worship with friends from Kenya, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, and Ghana.” She assured attendees of a deeper spiritual encounter, surpassing previous editions.
Managed by her husband, Kofi Donkor, Celestial Praiz has become a flagship gospel event, featuring ministers and artists from across Africa. Past editions have included performances by Edwin Dadson, Kweku Teye, Nigeria’s Minister GUC, and South Africa’s Zaza Mokhathi.
Known for hits like Agbebolo, Enyonyoge Kokooko, and Favour Everywhere, Donkor remains a leading voice in Ghanaian gospel music. This year’s concert reaffirms her commitment to uplifting worship
